Love to play tennis? Sandbridge Beach has several tennis courts.

The city of Virginia Beach provides two courts on the south end of the beach at Little Island City Park which are open to the public. Mom & Dad will love these courts since there are plenty of activities to occupy their children. The new playground is great for kids under 12. Older kids can bring a basketball and shoot some hoops. There is also the fishing pier all located close together.

There is also a court owned by the members of the Sandbridge Tennis Association. This court is for the use of members and guests. The newly re-surfaced court is great. A ball machine, practice balls and lights for after dark play make this a great spot. Ownership is limited to 40 families. If you are interested in becoming an owner/member please send me an email, we keep a list of interested parties and contact these parties when shares become available. There is a $150 annual membership fee for maintenance etc. Tennis playing Sandbridge property owners (houses, condos, or land) may contact Charlie Kelly, Association President, for more information. In the event the above 3 courts can’t handle the tennis load the city has two other public courts nearby in Lagomar, directly opposite Hell’s Point Golf Course.
